Cancun, Mexico

We had the opportunity to go to Cancun with the Robinson clan for a fun family vacation in July! We were a little nervous for the flight since we would be traveling for the first time with a baby and she was only 4 months old.  She ended up doing great and we were so proud of her!  Although, Cole and I were so exhausted by the time we actually got there!  Flying with a baby is so stressful! Also, to add to the stress the airlines lost mine and Cole's bag! Luckily, Suzy's suitcase made it or we would have been in a real bind. The good news is that they found our luggage and delivered it the next day! Phew! It ended up being worth the hassle though because our trip was amazing!

Suzy's FIRST airplane ride

We stayed in the most fabulous beach house I have ever seen!  I seriously felt like I was a celebrity everyday. We all had our own master suite which included a king size bed, amazing bathrooms and our own personal balcony. The house had a private tennis court, private pool (which walked out to our own private little section of beach), and two mini golf putting greens. It was so much fun! Another amazing part of the house we stayed in was that it included our own private chef that would cook breakfast and dinner for us everyday. We feasted on fabulous authentic Mexican food all week.  I am so lucky to get to travel with the Robinson family!  They sure know how to travel in style! My mother-in-law Shannon is a travel agent and she always knows the best places to travel and stay.

Our week consisted of lots of  R and R, with a lot of playing as well!  It was the perfect mix of fun/relaxation!
Beautiful view of the house at night
Beautiful pool
The courtyard in the middle of the house.  This is where we would eat breakfast every morning.
Private tennis court- so fun!
Uncle Jesse and Suzy relaxing in the hammock by the pool, don't they look so comfy!
Suzy hanging out in the hammock. What a cutie!
As you can tell, Suzy really loved swinging in the hammock! This was mine and Suzy's daily ritual...napping by the pool!
Gorgeous ocean view
Cole and I went on a little day trip with the siblings to Chichen Itza, while Grandma Shannon and Grandpa Brent stayed back and watched the babies! We had a great time!
After Chichen Itza we stopped off at this amazing Cenote, which is a natural, fresh water river that is deep down in a cave like hole.  It was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful! The water was cold, but felt so nice. There was a platform that you could jump off of into the water! We had a blast!

.....and kissing! ;)

Memorial Day Weekend

We always go to Moab with the Robinson Family for Memorial Day weekend! They have a condo down there and it is so much fun to go each year as a family! This year was a bit different since it was the first year that there were any babies in the family! Matt and Faroe had their twin boys Kaiden and Dean and we had little Suzy! Needless to say it was a bit crazy, but so much fun!! On the first day there the boys and Faroe went mountain biking while the girls stayed back and played with the babies! Cole is really getting into mountain biking and had a great time!

What a good lookin' husband I have!

On Sunday we went for a small, little family hike to Fisher's Tower! It was a fun and simple hike that even the babies enjoyed for the most part!

Suzy fell asleep on the hike back

We also took Suzy swimming for the first time! Let's just say we only lasted about 10 minutes tops at the pool! It was a bit cold for her and she didn't like it one bit! Oh well, we will keep trying this summer! She sure looked cute in her swimming suit though!
We had such a fun weekend! We can't wait to go again next year!!!

Lazy Summer Nights

Now that the weather is warm we have been enjoying a few nights out on our front lawn! We all go out and lay on a blanket as a family and play fetch with Maddie! I love lazy summer nights with my little family!

Suzy's Blessing

We blessed our sweet Suzy on May 6th! It was such a special day and I hope to never forget the feelings of the spirit that I felt that day. It made me so happy to be a mother and to have this darling little girl. Cole gave such a beautiful and unique blessing to his sweet daughter. I cried through the whole thing. I gave my Dad a binky to hold in his hand just in case she started to cry during the blessing. She was asleep when Cole took her up and my Dad said the second that Cole started talking her eyes shot open! He said that she looked so cute and was just looking around during the whole blessing. The circle was quite large and I loved knowing that my little girl was being held in the middle of all the important men in her life. They all love her and will always be there for her. Suzy wore the same dress that I was blessed in 26 years ago. She looked so cute! After the blessing we had everyone back to our house for brunch! We had delicious crepes, cinnamon rolls, yogurt with granola, juice and lots of yummy desserts! Thank you to everyone who came to support us and also those who helped me with the brunch! It turned out wonderful! The whole day was so special! I loved celebrating this sweet little girl all day! She is my whole world!

With Grandpa Brent, who is quite smitten with his new little grand daughter!
It's tiring being the center of attention!!
What a cutie!

I didn't get too many pictures that day because I was so busy talking to everyone. However, we did get a few and my Dad also took some on his ipad. The quality isn't great but I am so happy we at least have some pictures to remember this special day for our little family!

Easter 2012

We had a great Easter Sunday this year! Even though Suzy was only a month old, the Easter Bunny still brought her an Easter basket! Cole and Suzy went on the hunt for it early that morning and finally found it in hidden in our office! Suzy got a cute stuffed bunny and the Easter Bunny was nice enough to bring Mom and Dad yummy candy!!

Daddy and Suzy with her FIRST Easter basket!

We also went to Grandpa Brent and Grandma Shannon's house for dinner and a fun Easter egg hunt! Even though all of the grand babies are under one and Suzy was dead asleep, we still had fun searching for eggs around the yard! Grandma Shannon made sure that Suzy got all of the eggs that matched her outfit! :) She is such a fun Grandma!! We love her!

We had such a fun day!! Happy Easter!
