Christmas 2014

We had a magical Christmas morning this year! Suzy was full of excitement which of course made Cole and I even more excited as well! Sophie woke up first so we waited patiently for Suzy to wake up so we could see what Santa had brought. As soon as Suzy looked down the stairs and saw her horse she said "Wow! It's a Momma horse!!" She giggled and we all followed her as ran down the stairs to see all the presents! It was so fun to open each gift and see her reactions! How fun it will be with each coming year as our family grows! We had such a magical morning together!

We spent the rest of the day going to both grandparents homes for parties and presents! We are so grateful for our families and the love they show to us. We love them very much!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

After going to New York the first week of December we were already in the Christmas Spirit! We were excited to get our home decorated and participate in our many traditions!

The day after we got home we took the girls to the tree lot to pick out our Christmas tree! Suzy sure had fun helping her Daddy find the perfect tree! After some searching we found our tree and excitedly took it home to decorate! Suzy completed the tree with our star! It was such a fun night with just our little family!

We took the girls down to see the lights at Temple Square one night for Family Night! The weather was perfect and we were able to walk around and show Suzy all of the beautiful manger scenes and also the place that her Mom and Dad got engaged! This is a tradition we hope to do every year with our kids.

Our friends planned a fun Ugly Sweater Party! We had a delicious dinner and made gingerbread houses! We love our friends and their cute kids!

The Robinson's tradition of St. Lucia is always a favorite for us! It is especially special since Suzy has gotten to be St. Lucia the last few years! We had a yummy brunch, read the story of St. Lucia, and made gingerbread houses with Grandpa!

NYC at Christmas

When we found out that Brecke was going to be playing the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker in New York we knew we had to go! We were nervous taking little Sophie with her only being 3 months old and the super cold weather, but she ended up doing great! She actually spent the majority of the trip all bundled up asleep in her stroller! My whole family was able to go and we had so much fun!

The first day we were there we took the little girls to eat brunch at the American Girl Store! It is truly a little girls heaven and we all had the best time!

Suzy got a special ride on Mommy's back on the way to the American Girl Store!
She loved it and was yelling "Neigh" the whole time! I am just a horse to her now.

Suzy and I eating our brunch with her doll!

Suzy and Aunt Brecke

We went that night to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree! It was super crowded but oh so beautiful! New York City is truly magical at Christmas time!

We were all so excited to see Brecke perform! We actually went to both the matinee and the evening performance! She was so incredible and we felt so blessed to have been there to see her! Suzy watched the whole ballet very intently. She loved looking for Brecke and actually yelled out rather loudly "It's Brecke!!!" the first time we saw her on stage!

The program! Brecke had a full page photo on the cover!

Suzy is just taken with Brecke and was so excited to see her dance!

Suzy and I with Brecke after the performace! Suzy couldn't take her eyes off of her!

So happy my little family could be there!
The next few days we had fun exploring the city with our girls! We took them on a carriage ride around Central Park, to the Natural History Museum, to FAO Shwartz, to lots of yummy restaurants, shopping at Lincoln Center and to see the Santa at the Plaza!

Just Sophie got a cute picture with Santa, Suzy was too scared! Sophie looked so cute sleeping in his arms!

What a fabulous trip! A special thanks to my parents for making it possible for us to go! It was truly a trip of a lifetime!
