Suzy's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Suzy's 1st birthday with all her favorite people! We had both of her grandparents, a few of her great-grandparents, all of her aunts and uncles and her 4 cousins! We threw Suzy an Elmo birthday party since she loves him so much! We changed our address to "123 Suzy Street" for the afternoon and transformed our house to Elmo World! We had a yummy dinner of soup and bread sticks, salad and veggies and dip. Of course for dessert we had Elmo cake and ice cream! We had the best time with everyone and I know that Suzy sure felt loved! Here are some pictures from the party!

We had the best time celebrating Suzy's birthday! I still can't believe that she is ONE! We look forward to watching her learn and grow this next year! Thank you to everyone who came to support Suzy! We are so grateful to have so many wonderful people in Suzy's life! We love you all!

Our Beautiful ONE Year Old!

We are so in love with this little girl and can't believe that she is one years old! She is the light of our lives and we are so happy that she is ours! She has brought so much joy to me and Cole. She gets more fun everyday and her little personality is really starting to shine though. Everyone who meets her immediately falls in love with her. We don't blame them as she is very easy to love. We just think she is the most beautiful little girl in the world!

At 1 years old she:
*Has taken her first steps and is so close to being a full time walker
*Climbs the stairs in seconds flat
*Loves to play with other kids (she is very social)
*Is a total Mommy's Girl
*Is a very good little eater! Her favorite foods are cheese, whole wheat bread, peaches, pears, mandarin oranges, corn, peas, cereal and craisins! When she eats something she likes she says "Mmmmm...".
*Loves dogs! Especially our dog Maddie and my parents dog Koa! She makes a high-pitch squeal whenever she sees them! She loves to play fetch with Maddie and chase her around the house.
*Loves to read. Her favorite books are "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "The Very Busy Spider", "The Grouchy Ladybug", and "A Color of His Own".
*Loves to watch Elmo clips on our ipad. She smiles and laughs whenever she sees Elmo!
*Has traveled a lot for a one year old. She has been on a plane 4 times and has been to Moab, Cancun, New York City, Spokane, and Hawaii.
*Loves bath time and would stay in there for hours, if I let her!
*Can wave hello and goodbye!
*Hates being in her stroller and car seat! We are working on this one.
*Sleeps well as long as she has her binky and blanket!
*Can say Mamma, Dadda, and also "Woof-woof" when you ask her what a dog says.
*Loves fish! She loves to visit her Dad at work and see his aquarium. We frequent the Sandy City Aquarium quite often too!

Me and My Girl

One morning in Hawaii, Cole captured these sweet photos of me and Suzy! We both didn't know he was taking pictures. If I had known I probably would have gotten mad since I had just woken up and had no makeup on and my hair was terrible. However, I absolutely love them! This is how we look most days, playing in our pj's! I simply adore my little girl! 

Hawaii 2012

Every year the week after Christmas we go to Maui, Hawaii with my family! It is the best Christmas present ever and we look forward to this trip all year long! We were so excited to take Suzy with us this year! She was at such a fun age. She loved swimming and had a great time playing in the sand for the first time. We can't thank my parents enough for providing us with this awesome trip and helping us create magical memories with our little family! 

We have a floor unit in the hotel so this is the view we get to walk out to every morning! It is amazing!

Our 2012

We had such an incredible 2012! We had many ups and many downs, but we are stronger because of them! As you can tell our lives revolve around our precious daughter Suzy, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for us! I made a little video of our 2012! I love watching it and seeing Suzy grow and learn! Enjoy!

Christmas 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We were so excited to enjoy the holiday season with our little Suzy this year! Having a child at Christmas just made the holiday that much sweeter! Although, she didn't really understand any of it, it was still really fun to have her with us!

Christmas morning we got up bright and early and opened presents with just our little family! Suzy was so cute and immediately loved riding on her new little scooter toy. We had the best time together! We then got fixed up and headed over to my parents house for breakfast and to celebrate with the rest of my family! Suzy was of course spoiled by everyone! We had the best day and can't wait to celebrate this wonderful holiday through out the years as our little family begins to grow.
